Health Screening Notice

Florida Statute 381.0056 recommends that health screenings be conducted for students at various grade levels. As a virtual program, DAOF provides communication regarding the available sites and services to each of our families at various times each year.

Below are the suggested screenings, along with the grade levels for these screenings:

  • Vision: Students in kindergarten, 1st, 3rd and 6th grades
  • Hearing: Students in kindergarten, 1st, and 6th grades
  • Body Mass Index (BMI): Students in 1st, 3rd and 6th grades
  • Scoliosis: All 6th grade students
