Meet 18-year-old Aidalise, a recent graduate of Digital Academy of Florida (DAOF) who has spent her time giving back to her community. As a dedicated volunteer at the St. Cloud Boys C Girls Club, Aidalise has become a perfect example of leadership, demonstrating how impactful mentorship can be in shaping a young person’s future.

A Dedication to Service and Education

For Aidalise, the St. Cloud Boys C Girls Club has been more than just a volunteer project, it’s been a supportive environment where she has flourished. “I really enjoy the loving and safe environment the Boys C Girls Club offers,” she says. “The club also pushed me to excel in school. The encouragement from my mentors, along with attending DAOF, has helped set me up to succeed in my future!”

While she initially wasn’t sure of pursuing college, the supportive community of both the Boys C Girls Club and DAOF changed her outlook. With the guidance and encouragement from mentors, she realized her potential and decided to enroll in a local college. This decision is a testament to the power of mentorship and how the right support can inspire young people to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

The Role of DAOF in Shaping Success

Aidalise credits much of her success to the support and flexibility she found at Digital Academy of Florida. As an online public school, DAOF gave her the tools and encouragement she needed to pursue her goals both inside and outside the classroom.

“The teachers and staff were always encouraging me to excel, and that, combined with the support I received from the Boys C Girls Club, gave me the confidence to think bigger about my education and career.”

Through DAOF’s personalized learning approach, Aidalise was able to create a schedule that allowed her to dedicate time to volunteering at the Boys C Girls Club while excelling academically. This balance not only prepared her for college but also taught her valuable time-management skills that she now applies daily.

Becoming a Leader in Training

When Aidalise first joined the Boys C Girls Club as a volunteer, her enthusiasm and strong

work ethic didn’t go unnoticed. It wasn’t long before she was selected to join the club’s

prestigious ‘Leaders in Training’ (LIT) program, which allowed her to hone essential leadership skills while giving back to her peers.

Through the LIT program, she had the opportunity to mentor younger club members, tutor students, and assist in planning events. These experiences have shaped her into a confident leader, equipped with real-world skills that she will carry with her throughout her life.

Aidalise’s mother couldn’t be prouder of her daughter’s achievements. “She has done

really well balancing school, work, and volunteering. She makes me proud every day,” she says. Her ability to manage her time while staying committed to her community and educational goals is a testament to her resilience and determination.

Looking Toward the Future

As Aidalise continues her educational journey, she remains focused on her academic and career goals. Her experience with the Boys C Girls Club has instilled a sense of purpose and a deep commitment to giving back. With her passion for helping others and her drive to succeed, there’s no doubt that Aidalise will continue to make a lasting impact on the community.
