Career Field: Arts, AV Tech, & Comm: Digital Design

Grade: 12

Hobbies: Going to theme parks

I found that K12 had more career-focused lessons than my area’s public schools. I also like that I have more flexibility in doing things I enjoy, such as going on walks, vacations, and enjoying theme parks. K12 has definitely helped me realize what career I am most passionate about.

After high school, I would do a four-year university, but for the career I want I can go to a two-year college. I want to work in real estate and I do need a degree, but I’ll prepare for a test to get my real estate license. After I graduate, I want to become a flight attendant so I can save up money while traveling the world.

Hi there, my name is Cynthia. I am a sophomore at DAOF and attending my second year here as a virtual learner. I chose virtual high school at DAOF because it is self-paced, I have the ability to organize my work schedule, and the freedom to complete my school work from any location. My career goal is to become a pediatric psychiatrist and I love that DAOF offers classes towards these goals. After high school I would like to attend community college before transferring to a four-year university and I’m grateful that DAOF has allowed me to earn credits that will easily transfer to my chosen community college. I became a student advisor to become a voice for our online learning community and because I enjoy being active in my school.

Hello! My name is Gabriela Rodriguez. I am 17 years old and in the 11th grade. I was born in Puerto Rico and lived there until 3rd grade, so my Spanish is pretty fluent. I love using my hands to create new things and help others in school and even out of school. I am a very outgoing person and also very chill. I love meeting new people and can’t wait to meet you all. I am very excited to work with my peers, make new friends, help other students, and represent my school with pride and honor!
